This in person weekend retreat will immerse you in circle holding skills. You will have time to experience different length circles and explore the diversity of practices that can be included, you will leave feeling inspired and confident to facilitate.

CIRCLE HOLDING IN PERSON TRAINING
This in person training will incorporate elements of circle that are best experienced in person rather than online, including:
practice your circle facilitation skills under the guidance of Julia & Tessa
creating mandalas
listening partnerships
using fire and ceremony
simple craft activities
Narrative 4 story exchange
group embodiment
You will experience multiple beautiful ways of opening and closing circles, co-create a mandala centrepiece, share in a fire practice, discover different listening and settling practices to provide circle cohesion and individual comfort.
This training is for anyone who wishes to facilitate a circles. Previous attendees on trainings have included those who work in charities and organisations, yoga teachers, actors, grief doulascoaches, sound therapists, environmental activists and those who wanting to support the LGBTQIA+ community, carers, postgraduate students and more.

During the training you will be held in deep connection with others and also have space for yourself. You will experience the wonderful nourishment that comes from being fully listened to in a supportive space and learn the key components of holding space in talking circle.
You might come because you want gorgeous ideas and careful guidance on running your own circles or for some deep nourishment all for yourself. For those wishing to take home a CPD Certificate in Circle Holding Skills, active participation in the co-creation of a circle will be required.
The fees include the full programme, a light lunch on both days* and the CPD certificate if you wish - as well as online pre-study with access to support material. Payment installments are possible - please email.
This course is open to all. No previous facilitation experience is required. Therapist, hypnotherapist, coaches, yoga teachers circle holders, birth educators & meditation teachers welcome.
By the end of this training you will have:
experienced the benefits of sitting in circle
understood the key components of creating a strong container, including opening and closing, sharing settling and guidelines, introducing a topic for talking
gained practice in circle holding
understood how to manage some of the major challenges of circle holding
experienced supporting activities like using crafts, embodiment and incorporating ceremony (e.g. red thread, fire)
TESSA has run online women's circles throughout the lockdowns and this format can work very well, including the use of breakout rooms. She has been running her in person women's circles for 8+ years, mostly in person, and girls / mother and daughter circles for 5 years.
JULIA is an experience circle facilitator running in person and online circles. She has expertise in integrating circle into yoga classes, workshops and retreats.

Access to an online dedicated training module with pre-course study material
Certification of completion recognised by a wide variety of CPD/CE awarding bodies including all major yoga accrediting bodies
